Checking your tire pressure once a month with a digital gauge, as under-inflated tires can decrease gas mileage by about 0.2 percent for every one psi drop in the average pressure of all tires. Do you have a 2010-2017 Ford? If so, you’re in luck! Ford just released SmartLink, which allows its owners to use the incredible features of Ford Pass on these older model vehicles. This device will plug into the onboard diagnostics port below the steering wheel and is roughly the size of a deck of cards. SmartLink allows older model vehicles to use all of the nifty features that have until now only been available on newer Fords. This includes 4G LTE WiFi, vehicle location tracking and smartphone integration of key fob features such as remote engine start, lock + unlock and vehicle health and security alerts. Tribute to Glenn Seibert

  Glenn Seibert, our beloved Part’s manager for 45 years, passed away last week. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Scott, our current manager in our Part’s department, worked with Glenn for years and recounts some of his best memories from time spent with him. ‘Glenn was known for saying, ”Sometimes we all must eat a slice of humble pie”.  He was known by coworkers for being both a humble and gentle man. There were so many admirable things about Glenn.  One thing that comes to mind is that for the past 10 years, he has taken his children and grandchildren on a cruise each summer. Glenn was instrumental in seeing many reach their potential.’ Dale, another coworker and great friend of Glenn’s, shares more treasured memories. “I started at Leif Johnson in 1982, I have known him since 76 when I first came to Austin. I met him at the Central Texas Parts and Service Club meetings before I came to work at Leif Johnson Ford.
