Glenn Seibert, our beloved Part’s manager for 45 years, passed away last week. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
Scott, our current manager in our Part’s department, worked with Glenn for years and recounts some of his best memories from time spent with him.
‘Glenn was known for saying, ”Sometimes we all must eat a slice of humble pie”. He was known by coworkers for being both a humble and gentle man. There were so many admirable things about Glenn. One thing that comes to mind is that for the past 10 years, he has taken his children and grandchildren on a cruise each summer. Glenn was instrumental in seeing many reach their potential.’
Dale, another coworker and great friend of Glenn’s, shares more treasured memories.
“I started at Leif Johnson in 1982, I have known him since 76 when I first came to Austin. I met him at the Central Texas Parts and Service Club meetings before I came to work at Leif Johnson Ford. I have watched his sons grow up and turn into very outstanding men, just like Glenn. Glenn always played to win at everything he did , life, games ,practical jokes ,football boards and everything else. He was a teacher, mentor and a very good friend.”
Our hearts and prayers go out to Glenn’s family in this time. Everyone who was blessed enough to know Glenn will cherish and hold dear to their heart all of the moments they were able to share with him.
