Giving Back with LJF and Ford

At Leif Johnson Ford, we are committed to making a difference and bettering our community. We are always looking for new ways to give back to different local causes, and are truly passionate about helping those in Austin and beyond. Currently, we are partnering with Susan G. Komen in the fight against breast cancer, and local elementary schools with Earning by Learning. Whether it be raising funds for cancer research or helping kids learn to love reading, we are honored to do whatever we can to be a resource for others. Ford Motor Company is also passionate about helping their community. Each year, Ford Volunteer Corps performs more than 112,000 hours of work on community service projects around the world, and Ford Driving Skills for Life is a driving program that helps teens develop necessary driving skills. Ford also values sustainability, and creates vehicles that will better our environment. Truck Month at Leif Johnson Ford

Leif Johnson Ford is honored to be able to give back to our community in any way that we can. One of our favorite ways to serve our fellow Austinites is by partnering with Susan G. Komen each year for Truck Month.  What is Truck Month? It’s a time period (we would say month, but one month is never quite enough for us!) where our customers help us donate to the fight against breast cancer. For every new F-150 or F-250 purchased, Leif Johnson Ford donates $100 to Susan G. Komen.  This one hundred dollars affords a cancer screening, which could potentially be lifesaving. Susan G. Komen envisions a world without breast cancer. They are the ONLY organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. Their goal is to reduce the risk of breast cancer deaths by 50% by year 2026. With the help of the community (that’s you and me!), they can help make this goal a reality! …

This June, the Leif Johnson Ford team had the chance to take part in something truly incredible; We were able to fight against breast cancer by gifting  a 33,700 check to Susan G. Komen. Komen Race for the Cure $100 Donated for every truck sold during Truck Month Austin, Texas, June 8, 2016: Leif Johnson Ford, Riata Ford and Leif Johnson’s Truck City Ford recently presented Karen Shultz, Executive Director of Susan G. Komen a check for $33,700. The check was presented by Fred Trudeau, General Manager of the Leif Johnson Family of Dealerships. The funds were raised during Ford’s Truck Month Sales Event and presented this past Wednesday in the Leif Johnson Ford showroom. Mr. Trudeau, in presenting the check, stated “This was one of the most rewarding times in Leif Johnson’s 60 year history.
