Eduardo’s 13 Years at Leif Johnson

Eduardo Luna has worked with us at Leif Johnson Ford for thirteen years now. When asked what his favorite thing about working with us is, he happily lists a handful of things. “Everybody gets along really well. It’s a family sort of environment” he tells us. He also says that he loves everything from his coworkers to his bosses, and that, put simply “Everybody is cool.” He goes on to say that every year he feels more and more comfortable as part of our team, but at the same time he is always striving to “keep improving.” This is the type of attitude we love and look for at Leif Johnson Ford, and just part of what makes our team such a great one. Mr. Luna has been doing everything from tinting to graphics for us for more than a decade, and we absolutely love having him as part of our crew. Our Leif Johnson Ford family definitely wouldn’t be the same without him.

Meet Virginia

Meet Virginia. No, not the popular 90’s Train song. Virginia Wirtz of Riata Ford. She’s been working with us for six years now and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team. Luckily, she really likes working with us too! Though Virginia is having her consecutive six year work anniversary, if you count the two year break she took in between, she’s actually worked with us for nearly thirteen years. She tells us she loves her job as a billing clerk and that loving what she does “Makes the day go by faster.I learn something new every day.” She also tells us she enjoys the people she works with and that there’s “never a dull moment” at Riata Ford. (Something we all love about working here!) When Miss Virginia isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her grandkids, boy/girl eight-year old twins and a twelve year old girl. “They’re my life” she gushes. She has one child of her own, telling us that after growing up with nine brothers and sisters, she wanted a smaller …

Ford F-150: Seamless Windows

So you’ve heard all about the lighter, aluminum body of the 2015 Ford F-150. You know it’s going to be our most fuel efficient F-150 yet. You probably know it’s built even more Ford tough than before. But have you heard about the sliding rear window yet? It may sound like a smaller addition, but sometimes big things come in smaller packages. Read on, friends. Yes, the rear window is seamless. This brilliant design was created by Ford Motor Company and Magna International. Not only does it hide window seams, but it also reduces overall component parts. You can have your window completely open, and still this two-piece design will allow the window area to completely defrost, just as it would closed. Pretty neat, eh? The typical sliding rear window consists of three pieces of glass held together by a support structure with additional working components. With the touch of a button, your new seamless window will open. Not only is this convenient, but it looks pretty cool too.  More than just looking awesome, the new design of the …

Customer Highlight: The Levines

Father and son duo Steve and Alex Levine are absolutely loving their new Ford King Ranch. In fact, there wasn’t anything they didn’t love about their experience with us at Leif Johnson Ford. Steve, enthusiastic and talkative, chats with us about what a great time he had buying his new truck. The last time he bought a truck was back in 2004, and he laughs when he realizes that two of the team members he’s talking with (The Social Media Rep and the Sync Tech)own  job titles that probably weren’t even around back then. (Times may change, but after over 50 years of business, you can bet the excellent service at Leif Johnson Ford sure doesn’t!)  When asked further about his time spent with us, he lets us know that his sync tech Peter is funny enough to be a stand up comedian, except for the fact that he was momentarily  sitting down. Joking aside, Steve says that his salesman Leo was pretty awesome too. “I gave him three chances to beat other dealership prices and he was …

iPhone tips from Sync Tech Peter

As technology gets more and more advanced, its sometimes hard not to start head-scratching with confusion. But we want to make life just a little bit easier for you. Leif Johnson Ford has helpful and friendly sync techs like Peter to walk you through all things Ford and tech related. Here’s a few simple steps on how to make sure you’re getting the very best use out of your iPhone and Ford synchronization. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLxYE9n6EHo 1. Don’t use emoji in your contacts. Voice command pathways are used to correspond with each contact, thus emojis are not recognized and this confuses the system. 2. Avoid plugging phone into USB port in your car. Your phone will charge much faster plugged into 12 volt charger with an adapter.  Furthermore, when plugged into a USB port, the two computers start talking to one another, and, as Peter puts it, Ford and Microsoft don’t work well together “when they’re holding hands.” 3. For all smart phones: When plugged into the car, use the car, not the phone when making, ending and receiving calls. 4. Clear …

Customer Highlight: Meet JoAnn

Meet JoAnn Wolf– Proud owner of this snazzy buy, recently purchased at Riata Ford in Manor, Texas. This isn’t her first purchase from Riata, but rather her third in TEN years. She’s a longtime fan of our dealership, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have her as a loyal customer. But this dedicated buyer loves more than just the Fords she buys from us. She boasts that she has not only four grandkids (ranging in ages from 15-34) but also four great grandkids, and we can tell that they keep her busy in the very best way possible. And as if she hasn’t got her hands full enough, JoAnn bought this spacious vehicle from us for a very special reason. A dog lover and owner of three border terriers, JoAnn proudly tells us that that she will be taking her pups to and from dog shows in her new Ford. We at Leif Johnson are so grateful to have so many unique and fun customers with so many interesting stories and from so many different …

Employee Highlights: Ajay Malani

Salesmen Ajay is an employee of our Riata Ford location and a resident of Austin, though this isn’t quite his hometown. Ajay was not only born, but also raised in India–Not exactly a neighbor to Texas or our Leif Johnson Ford dealerships. Still, he made his way to Austin with his family when he was fourteen years old and has loved it enough to never move anywhere else since. He also loves his job; More than half of his time spent in Austin has also been spent with us at Riata! Ajay has been with us at Riata Ford for nearly six years, and states that his favorite part about working with us are all of his customers. The feelings are definitely reciprocated, as Ajay is a favorite to many of the Ford-buyers who walk through our doors. Whenever he gets the chance, he does make visits back to India, and tells us he misses the cooking and the people when back in Texas. But he loves the Austin life too, and spends his spare time playing …

Leif Johnson Ford- Customer Letter

We absolutely love receiving positive feedback from our happy Leif Johnson Ford customers, and this sweet letter from John was no exception! “To the Sales Manager and Staff, I just want to thank you and show my appreciation to the sales team that assisted with my new purchase of a new Ford Focus SE Hatch Back. When I arrived at your showroom I was professionally greeted by Justin and then Ms. Ashley Williams helped with every question and all sale formalities until I left in my new car. I can honestly say from start to finish everything went very smoothly and I was quite pleased throughout. Although Ashley was relatively new to your sales department it was not apparent as she displayed confidence and competence of someone highly seasoned in her work. She is a credit to Leif Johnson in the friendly professionalism and customer care that seems to come very naturally. Even though the sale is ‘complete’, I’ve been given every impression that I am welcome back for any questions, follow-up, and service and so …

Leif Johnson Customer Letter

Leif Johnson Ford has been around for nearly 60 years. In these years, we’ve had the time to build a reputation as a dealership that goes above and beyond for our customers. Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors leave happy and completely taken care of! This goal is achieved by our excellent customer service, and we always love hearing back from the customers who have received this impeccable service of ours! This recent letter to our manager Gordon Lambert was no exception.: “Dear Mr. Lambert, I intended to write this letter to you long before this, but I do want to thank you for your help Friday eve Jan 31 when my friend Marcia Evans and I had to have her 2013 Focus towed in for repair work. The Service Dept was closed and we needed to get a rental car. We had called a friend in Lockhart to pick us up, but you came to our rescue and provided us a rental car, so we were able to let …
