Responsible Parenting Award Ceremony

On December 17th, Leif Johnson had the honor of partnering with Child Inc. to give away Ford vehicles and many other gifts for the Responsible Parenting Award! We absolutely loved seeing the faces of the ecstatic children and parents upon receiving their presents at this ceremony. Our Fords definitely went to an amazing group of families, and we feel so fortunate to have the chance to take part in this event every Christmas season! What exactly does this award ceremony entail, you might ask? According to the Child Inc. website, “The Responsible Parenting Responsible Relationship Awards is a project of Child Inc. in which members of the local community including businesses, faith-based, civic and neighborhood groups, recognize and reward parents for their commitment to responsible parenting and responsible relationships. Parents are recognized for their effort in raising their children responsibly, taking an active role in their child’s early education, and working towards strengthening their relationships.” 300+ businesses and individuals in and around the Austin area are taking part in the Responsible Parenting and Responsible Relationships., and Leif is one of them! Employee of the Month-Truck City

Our Employee of the Month over at Buda’s Truck City is Mr. McKinley Holland. McKinley started with us at Leif Johnson in 2011 and transferred to Truck City back in August. He absolutely loves that working here has taught him so much about working on different types of vehicles. His coworkers attribute his Employee of the Month title to the fact that he is a “team player.” On top of that, Holland says he has a photographic memory and can rattle off base numbers “like candy!”– A great skill to have when working over in the parts department! When McKinley is not at work, he loves to play the guitar. He’s been playing for about five years now and says that he’s “always been a musician.” A musician and a mechanic, McKinley is clearly a man of many talents! We couldn’t be happier to have him as part of our team over at Truck City.

Christmas Carolers at Leif Johnson

Christmas carolers from Allison Elementary paid us a visit at Leif Johnson Ford yesterday! Every week, Leif Johnson participates in Earning By Learning, a reading program that allows children to earn money for each book they read. We visit Allison Elementary every Tuesday, so it was a wonderful surprise to have the kids visit and sing to us this Monday. We are so very thankful to be able to inspire these children to love reading, and to have them say thank-you to us by spreading the holiday cheer! How are you spreading the cheer this holiday season?

Leif Johnson Employee of the Month: Austin Kinsey

Congratulations to Austin Kinsey for being named the Leif Johnson employee of the month! Austin has with been Leif for nearly a year as a Body Shop Porter at our Round Rock Collision Center location! Austin’s work ethic and his efforts to always go above and beyond are amongst the reasons he was perfect for our Employee of the Month title. “Cutting metal”, “Driving nice trucks” and the “benefits” are three of his favorite things about working at Leif. When he’s not at work, he loves to play video games (He’s a ranked “pvp-er”, which is computer talk for a video-gaming pro!), and hang out with his two kiddos. We are so thankful to have hard-working, fun and helpful employees like Austin Kinsey with us at Leif Johnson Ford!

Riata Ford Employee Of The Month–Penny Torres

Riata’s newest Employee of the Month is our lovely receptionist Penny Torres! A very busy lady, Penny can be found doing everything from greeting customers to answering phone calls to helping decorate for Christmas–and she’s never seen without a smile on her face! Always cheerful, kind and outgoing, it is no surprise that Penny was chosen as our newest Employee of the Month. She happily listed many things when asked what her favorite part of working at Riata. “Getting to talk to all of the people. Everyone is so good to me. It’s the first job I’ve had that I actually like getting up for. I look forward to it.” Outside of work, Penny enjoys hanging out with her grandkids; She has four grandaughters and is eagerly anticipating her first grandson arriving in March. As for unique hobbies, she absolutely loves collecting Boyds Bears. So far, she’s collected over one-hundred bears and has even had the chance to visit to to visit the Boyds Bear factory in Pennsylvania. We definitely love Penny just as much as she loves working …

Leif Johnson Customer Letter: Roel

Customer Roel was so happy with the customer service at Leif Johnson that he recently sent us a beaming letter of satisfaction! Read what he had to say about us below! “I wanted to share my purchase experience, and let you know what a great job that Ross Brown and Amanda Braun did with my new Ford Escape purchase. I emailed five Ford dealers on Sunday afternoon in search of an Escape SE. All five dealers got back to me, but none of the Internet salesman responded as quickly and effectively as Ross. Unlike the other salesman, Ross carefully read each of my emails and came back with responses that reflected my concerns and requests. Every time I thought I would go with another dealer, Ross would find a way to get back into the mix. He simply would not stop working until he sold me an amazing car at an amazing price. When I showed up at the dealership, part of me was waiting for the other shoe to drop. For a hitch to come …

Customer Highlights: Susan

Susan recently bought a used car for her daughter from Leif Johnson’s North Superstore, and was happy to share about the great experience she had with us. Susan’s daughter had never bought her own car before, so mom stepped in to help out. She says she sent in an email request on a vehicle and, “It worked out really well.” She tells us that her salesman, Chris Reed, offered “absolutely friendly service.” and a no-fuss car deal. Chris and Susan struck up a bond throughout the car-buying process. “I like Susan a lot.”, he tells us, saying she was “sweet” but “straightforward.” She let him know that she wasn’t looking to mess around, and wanted to get straight to business. Chris took her words to heart and quickly found her a car that would be perfect for her daughter.  An awesome mom and a great salesman–It was a match made in car-heaven! To find your very own match, visit us at any of our five Leif Johnson locations today!
