Customer Highlights: Tim Garrett

Customer Tim Garrett was led to Truck City by his brother, who recommended our dealership based on the several trucks he’d bought from us in the past. Owner of Laguna Landscape, Tim was in need of a reliable and durable truck. And that’s exactly what he found here at Truck City. He tells us that his time spent with his car dealer Eddie was a “Completely different experience” than any he’s had at other car dealerships in the past. He recounts his time at another dealership, where he had to fill out application after application. Tim says he remembers thinking to himself, “I don’t belong here.” That’s where Truck City came in. “I said ‘Here’s what I need’ and he (Eddie) said ‘Okay.”  It was just that simple, and Tim loved that. He notes that the process was so much easier than any he’d ever experienced anywhere else. Tim and his brother have both bought multiple trucks from Truck City in the past, and plan on continuing to do so in the future. When asked about owning his own landscape business, Tim …

Sync Tips

Keeping up with the latest gadgets and gizmos can be tough. That’s where Leif Johnson Ford’s Sync Team comes in to make life just a little bit easier. They’re here to help you pair your smart phone with your new Ford, and to provide continued support and education later on down the road too. Today we got together with some of our handy-dandy Sync guys to ask for a few tips. They let us in on a few “Don’t do’s” that will help your phone and your Ford become fast friends in no time. Here’s what they had to tell us: 1. Don’t USB connect your iPhone to your Ford. (It can cause problems with voice command) 2. No Emojis in your contact list. (They’re so fun, we know. But they’ll lock the system up as it cannot recognize these adorable little faces.) 3. Don’t answer and receive phone calls on the phone, use hands free. It’s set up to be a hands-free systems, after all. Simple as they may be, these pointers will help your smart phone to be, …

Employee Highlights- Leo Light

Today we had the chance to chat with employee Leo Light. By day, Leo may be a Sales Consultant for Leif Johnson Ford, but after-hours he has a couple of intriguing hobbies that he loved sharing with us. Read on to learn more! When Leo was 16, all he wanted was his very own Mustang. Alas, his dad refused and Leo instead started with an F150. Years later, his love for Mustangs lived on and he finally became an owner of his beloved car at twenty-one years old. Now he not only owns a Mustang, he also rebuilds them in his spare time! When he’s not a work, you can bet Leo is, “Thinking of more ways to make my car faster.” But Mustangs aren’t the only thing Leo builds in his spare time. He also builds his own websites, and has created his own popular site, “TheRealForums.com” Here users can discuss everything from cooking to gaming to pets to fitness and health. Knowing that Leo’s talents range from car-rebuilding to website-making, one must wonder if there’s anything …

Throwback Thursday: Let’s travel to 1959.

Top 5 Best Things about 1959. 5. The prices of well…everything. The price of gasoline was about .25 – .30 cents a gallon and they had guys in cute little uniforms come out and do a full service check.   4. The TV. 3 Words: I Love Lucy.   3. The styles.Women in the 50’s always looked impeccable and classy with their updoes and modest attire. 2. The music. Johnny Cash dominated the air waves and Elvis was on his way up. Listen to Folsum Prison Blues just once and try not to get it stuck in your head.   1. The cars. The vehicles from 1959 were like fine art on wheels. Let’s agree that the men who created Ford vehicles back in the day were true artists.   Now we can’t bring Johnny back to life or let you pay 25 cents a gallon for gasoline but we can still sell you this beauty: The 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible Coupe (Sunliner) with a beautiful red and colonial white coat.     Check this classic car out on …

Today I Learned: Getting Pulled Over In Style

Did you know that Ford has a website where police officers can post pictures of their beautiful new Ford police vehicles? Officers from all over the world have posted pictures of their new rides through the interceptors on duty campaign. Now that the iconic Crown Vic or as I like to call it “the cop car” is no longer in production, police departments are searching for vehicles that are just as sturdy and reliable. Obviously many have gone with what’s tried and true with Ford. Pictures like this almost make you want get pulled over to check them out…almost. Not only are these vehicles gorgeous but Ford has made them specifically for the boys in blue and boast features like being designed “specifically for pursuit driving.” So browse through and hope you don’t ever see any of these beauties in your rearview. And if you feel yourself getting car envy don’t worry you don’t have to join the police academy or get arrested to end up in a Ford. Just pay Leif Johnson a visit!
