Top 5: 2015 Ford Escape

The 2015 Ford Escape is currently the talk of the town. The design is sleek, the drive is smooth yet powerful and the technology is super savvy. Read on to read our top five favorites on one of our favorite new vehicles. 1.Seriously, the technology is on point.  Just to name a few things– Lane-Keep Assist automatically adjusts steering input to make sure you stay in your lane, parallel and perpendicular parking systems control your steering wheel to park the vehicle for you (all you have to do is control the brakes and the accelerator pedal) and another system will help you leave your parking space. But that’s not all. Also offered is adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitoring system, heated seats, a 180-degree camera offering a view of the front of the vehicle, and even a cleaning system for this camera which makes sure it’s always ready for you to use. 2. What’s a better mother daughter bonding experience than buying a brand new Ford? That’s exactly what mom Leana and daughter Phoebe did at Truck City Ford. We talked to Phoebe, and absolutely loved the time she spent with us at our Truck City Ford location. “Our experience was great and Ken was awesome.” she said. A lovely new Escape for two lovely ladies. Wendy is a third time Ford-buyer from our Leif Johnson Central location. Her last car was totaled and the damage was severe, but miraculously, Wendy came out of the accident unscathed. This week she was back at our dealership, safe and joking that she must be a “new car enthusiast.” “Third one’s a charm!” she said with a smile. Our dealership just wouldn’t be quite the same without the amazing ladies who buy from us, bringing laughter and personality every time they walk through our doors!

Salesman Eddie Haddad has been with us at our Truck City Ford location for seven years now. He is a favorite among favorites, and his friendly, ethical and hard-working nature represents what we love so much about our wonderful team.   Our customers are pretty crazy about him too. One would be hard pressed to walk into our store and find a guest that Eddie is not laughing and sharing stories with. At Leif Johnson Ford, we truly value both our customers and our employees. Take Larry Kirbo, for instance. He is celebrating thirty-five years of working with us in the Parts Department. It is always a joy to walk into the Parts Department. There are many long term employees who are always smiling, joking and laughing with one another, and it is clear to see how much they value their fellow team members. It is no surprise then that Larry tells us his favorite part about working with us is “the people” and the “comradery” built around our team at Leif Johnson Ford. We love learning about our employees too, and loved hearing that in his spare time, Larry is a talented guitar player. He will even be playing for SXSW this year! As for our customers, we’re pretty fond of them and their stories too. For instance–Angelica and Philip Rivera. These two are happy, and for lots of reasons. Another day, another happy customer story. Michael and Megan couldn’t be more delighted with their brand new 2015 F-150s from Leif Johnson Ford. They bought their his and hers vehicles last week, appropriately purchased on the day of L-O-V-E. Talk about a perfect Valentine’s day gift! This isn’t Megan’s first time cruising around with Leif Johnson Ford. When asked about her experience, she couldn’t say enough good things about our dealership. “I had a wonderful experience. Tom Bobb was so good that he sold us two brand new trucks!! I have purchased 6 vehicles from Leif Johnson Ford and have loved my experience every time. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!” We are so thankful to have so many wonderful repeat customers, and couldn’t be happier for Megan and Michael on their exciting new purchases!

Retiring in Style (With a little help from Leif Johnson Ford)

Imagine selling your house, getting rid of your vehicles and quitting your job. All at the same time. Sounds a little crazy, eh? But this is exactly what Doug and Doris Henderson are in the process of doing. They are “right in the middle” of retirement, and even though Doris half-jokes that they are “homeless and jobless”,their future is actually looking pretty darn awesome. These two are getting ready to forget about all of that work stuff and move to the beaches of Corpus Christi. They also needed vehicles more suitable for their new adventures. That’s where we come in. A new Ford Edge and F-150 later, this sweet couple is ready to start a new chapter of their lives. And it looks like it’s going to be full of relaxation, sand, sun and plenty of smooth sailing. (Or driving.) Leif Johnson Ford couldn’t be happier to help the Hendersons retire in style.

Employee of the Month at Truck City Ford

“How did you break your leg?”, we asked our current Truck City Ford employee of the month. He replied with, “There was a donkey in the road.” Employees at all of our locations have unique stories to tell, and we want to hear all of them. Knowing and valuing our amazing team is part of what puts our dealership a notch about the rest. DeWayne has been working for us as a technician for over twenty years, and tells us that he enjoys the “good people” he works with. And the trucks, of course. As for us, we appreciate his hard work and dedication to our dealership. In his spare time, DeWayne loves to practice his woodworking skills. He does not so much enjoy accidental encounters with donkeys. But that’s a story for another day.

Early Valentine’s At Leif Johnson Ford

Ismael and Yolanda Nunez are in love. With each other, and with their brand new F-150 purchased at Leif Johnson Ford. They are also committed to the good things in life. They have been married for 43 years and have been choosing our dealership for 15 years. They bought their first Ford from us back in 2000! (Is it just me or it a little scary that this was fifteen years ago?!) The couple chuckled over the fact that not once but twice they have come in for a simple oil change and have left with a new vehicle. When asked what their favorite thing was about Leif, they complimented their sales lady Sonya for never being pushy and always taking time to explain details. As for our dealership, they love the fact that we “always work with you.” Yolanda gushed that their newest buy was an early Valentine’s Day present from her hubby. This adorable duo was clearly smitten with each other, their new F-150 and their dealership of choice—A beautiful couple and a wonderful Valentine’s Day indeed!

F-150 Test Drive At Leif Johnson Ford

The 2015 F-150 has gotten a lot of deserving hype for being made from aluminum, delivering a more fuel-efficient driving experience and still being built Ford tough as ever. These are reasons us Leif Johnson Forders love the F-150 too, but this is just the start of the list. I took a test drive with our knowledgeable salesman Wesley, and he definitely won this 25-year-old-not-usually-truck-loving-chick over to the beauty of this truck. A few examples for you Ford (but maybe not truck) lovers: -Heated AND massaging front seats. You’ll actually look forward to traffic. – If you’re known for running into inanimate objects (like me) the F-150’s rearview camera system is a lifesaver (or a curb-saver, or a tree-saver….) – Hate parallel parking as much as I do? Now you have a truck to do it for you. This bad boy parallel parks itself, y’all. – Charge your phone, laptop, GoPro and even medical devices (Though Wesley doesn’t recommend this last one) while you drive with the F150’s 12 volt accessory outlet. – Hitching a trailer isn’t usually a fun gig. With the Ford F-150 Dynamic Hitch Assist, I think I could …
