Eduardo’s 13 Years at Leif Johnson

Eduardo Luna has worked with us at Leif Johnson Ford for thirteen years now. When asked what his favorite thing about working with us is, he happily lists a handful of things. “Everybody gets along really well. It’s a family sort of environment” he tells us. He also says that he loves everything from his coworkers to his bosses, and that, put simply “Everybody is cool.” He goes on to say that every year he feels more and more comfortable as part of our team, but at the same time he is always striving to “keep improving.” This is the type of attitude we love and look for at Leif Johnson Ford, and just part of what makes our team such a great one. Mr. Luna has been doing everything from tinting to graphics for us for more than a decade, and we absolutely love having him as part of our crew. Our Leif Johnson Ford family definitely wouldn’t be the same without him.

Meet Virginia

Meet Virginia. No, not the popular 90’s Train song. Virginia Wirtz of Riata Ford. She’s been working with us for six years now and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team. Luckily, she really likes working with us too! Though Virginia is having her consecutive six year work anniversary, if you count the two year break she took in between, she’s actually worked with us for nearly thirteen years. She tells us she loves her job as a billing clerk and that loving what she does “Makes the day go by faster.I learn something new every day.” She also tells us she enjoys the people she works with and that there’s “never a dull moment” at Riata Ford. (Something we all love about working here!) When Miss Virginia isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time with her grandkids, boy/girl eight-year old twins and a twelve year old girl. “They’re my life” she gushes. She has one child of her own, telling us that after growing up with nine brothers and sisters, she wanted a smaller …

Leif Johnson Ford has been around for nearly 60 years. In these years, we’ve had the time to build a reputation as a dealership that goes above and beyond for our customers. Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors leave happy and completely taken care of! Thirty-One Years at Leif Johnson

Darryl Washington is not an easy man to find.  Celebrating thirty-one years at our dealership, he has become a jack of all trades at Leif Johnson. “I do everything! I’m all over this place.”, he chuckles, after my coworkers have helped me track this busy guy down. We are sitting in one of the cars he has been working on, and it’s hard not to almost instantly notice Darryl’s sweet smile and great attitude. Darryl tells me that he started out working in the body shop, then moved to accessories, followed by make-ready and mechanic work. Though his title says he is now a porter, he is still willing to help out with anything and everything thrown his way. When asked what it is that’s kept him at Leif for over thirty years, he immediately gives credit to his managers and the great way they treat their employees. He even recalls going over to one manager’s house years back, and enjoying a glass of ‘cold iced tea.’ It is clear that Darryl is not only an employee with us, but …

Riata Ford Employee Of The Month–Penny Torres

Riata’s newest Employee of the Month is our lovely receptionist Penny Torres! A very busy lady, Penny can be found doing everything from greeting customers to answering phone calls to helping decorate for Christmas–and she’s never seen without a smile on her face! Always cheerful, kind and outgoing, it is no surprise that Penny was chosen as our newest Employee of the Month. She happily listed many things when asked what her favorite part of working at Riata. “Getting to talk to all of the people. Everyone is so good to me. It’s the first job I’ve had that I actually like getting up for. I look forward to it.” Outside of work, Penny enjoys hanging out with her grandkids; She has four grandaughters and is eagerly anticipating her first grandson arriving in March. As for unique hobbies, she absolutely loves collecting Boyds Bears. So far, she’s collected over one-hundred bears and has even had the chance to visit to to visit the Boyds Bear factory in Pennsylvania. We definitely love Penny just as much as she loves working …
