Ismael and Yolanda Nunez are in love. With each other, and with their brand new F-150 purchased at Leif Johnson Ford. They are also committed to the good things in life. They have been married for 43 years and have been choosing our dealership for 15 years. They bought their first Ford from us back in 2000! (Is it just me or it a little scary that this was fifteen years ago?!) The couple chuckled over the fact that not once but twice they have come in for a simple oil change and have left with a new vehicle. When asked what their favorite thing was about Leif, they complimented their sales lady Sonya for never being pushy and always taking time to explain details. As for our dealership, they love the fact that we “always work with you.” Yolanda gushed that their newest buy was an early Valentine’s Day present from her hubby. This adorable duo was clearly smitten with each other, their new F-150 and their dealership of choice—A beautiful couple and a wonderful Valentine’s Day indeed!

Eduardo’s 13 Years at Leif Johnson

Eduardo Luna has worked with us at Leif Johnson Ford for thirteen years now. When asked what his favorite thing about working with us is, he happily lists a handful of things. “Everybody gets along really well. It’s a family sort of environment” he tells us. He also says that he loves everything from his coworkers to his bosses, and that, put simply “Everybody is cool.” He goes on to say that every year he feels more and more comfortable as part of our team, but at the same time he is always striving to “keep improving.” This is the type of attitude we love and look for at Leif Johnson Ford, and just part of what makes our team such a great one. Mr. Luna has been doing everything from tinting to graphics for us for more than a decade, and we absolutely love having him as part of our crew. Our Leif Johnson Ford family definitely wouldn’t be the same without him.

Earning By Learning

Leif Johnson Ford has been a part of the Earning by Learning program at a local Austin elementary school for twenty years now! For those wondering what exactly Earning by Learning entails, we would love to take a minute to explain. Created by a small group of Dallas citizens who recognized a need for reading in their community, this program teaches kids to work hard and dream big. Earning by Learning is a program that inspires young kids to learn to love reading. By earning a dollar for each book they read, these kiddos are finding a joy for the books and getting rewarded for their efforts. Each school year, Leif Johnson Ford volunteers make their way to their local elementary school to listen to the children read, and hear all about the books they’ve read the previous week. Not only is it an exciting journey for these kids, it is also a fun and inspiring way for us at Leif Johnson Ford to give back to our community. 2015 2.3 EcoBoost Mustang at Leif Johnson Frd

Great news, folks! The 2015 Mustang has officially arrived at Leif Johnson Ford! We are currently offering the 2.3 Ecoboost model in the colors white and blue. Needless to say, they are both beauties to behold. Here is a quick rundown of this particular model’s features: 5500 Horsepower The 60-mph mark runs at 5.2 seconds, the quarter-mile covered in 13.9 seconds at 98 mph. 320 lb-ft of torque 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway! Downshifts quickly and gets the 2.3-liter spinning when you want a quick departure. The cabin isolation, stiffness of the structure, body control, and the finish quality are huge improvements over the 2014 Mustang. Did we mention it’s really, really pretty? Bumpy roads are nothing for the Mustang. Smooth drives ahead for anyone who purchases this beauty. Overall- More horsepower, lower weight and better fuel economy than that of Mustang’s past. Wahoo! Leif Johnson celebrated David Hall’s thirty-seven years of service with us by throwing him a retirement party; And what would a retirement party be without good friends, great BBQ and delicious cake? We threw in all of the extras to make sure David knew he was appreciated and loved here at Leif Johnson Ford. Mr. Hall notes that he will miss the people and that his coworkers are like family…..Thirty-seven years later, and we definitely consider David a treasured part of our Leif Johnson team and family! Thirty-One Years at Leif Johnson

Darryl Washington is not an easy man to find.  Celebrating thirty-one years at our dealership, he has become a jack of all trades at Leif Johnson. “I do everything! I’m all over this place.”, he chuckles, after my coworkers have helped me track this busy guy down. We are sitting in one of the cars he has been working on, and it’s hard not to almost instantly notice Darryl’s sweet smile and great attitude. Darryl tells me that he started out working in the body shop, then moved to accessories, followed by make-ready and mechanic work. Though his title says he is now a porter, he is still willing to help out with anything and everything thrown his way. When asked what it is that’s kept him at Leif for over thirty years, he immediately gives credit to his managers and the great way they treat their employees. He even recalls going over to one manager’s house years back, and enjoying a glass of ‘cold iced tea.’ It is clear that Darryl is not only an employee with us, but …

Christmas carolers from Allison Elementary paid us a visit at Leif Johnson Ford yesterday! Every week, Leif Johnson participates in Earning By Learning, a reading program that allows children to earn money for each book they read. We visit Allison Elementary every Tuesday, so it was a wonderful surprise to have the kids visit and sing to us this Monday. We are so very thankful to be able to inspire these children to love reading, and to have them say thank-you to us by spreading the holiday cheer! How are you spreading the cheer this holiday season?
